Hiren’s BootCD PE is a new version based on Windows 10 PE x64. This article will guide you how to use AIO Boot to add Hiren’s BootCD PE to your USB drive.

Hiren’s BootCD PE

On the official homepage of Hiren’s BootCD, Hiren’s BootCD 15.2 is the latest version. Hiren’s BootCD PE was released on the website developed by the fans of Hiren’s BootCD.

Hiren's BootCD PE

Hiren’s BootCD PE includes only a single version of Windows 10 PE x64, supports new generation PCs and supports booting in UEFI mode (UEFI 64-bit, not 32-bit). If I’m not mistaken, like Bob.Omb’s Modified Win10PEx64 and Gandalf’s Windows 10PE, Windows 10 PE x64 from Hiren’s BootCD PE is also based on Win10PE SE.

Hiren’s BootCD 15.2 installs software, DLLs, and drivers on CD and USB drives, making smaller .WIM files and booting faster. Hiren’s BootCD PE includes all of that in a boot.wim file, although programs start faster but this makes this file larger (about 1.2GB), making booting slower and more RAM consumes, requiring at least 2GB of RAM.

Hiren’s BootCD PE includes only free software, .NET Framework 4 and .NET Framework 4.5 are supported.

Download ISO file and add it to USB

See the list of software included and download Hiren’s BootCD PE x64 ISO here, the file name is HBCD_PE_x64.iso.

Like other Windows 10 PE versions, you can easily integrate its ISO file into USB with AIOCreator.exe. Currently the latest version is v1.0.1, please let me know if it has new version.

  1. Run AIOCreator.exe, switch to Integration, select Windows and then select WinPE 7/8.1/10 in the drop down list.
  2. Select the ISO file, then click OK to integrate.

Now you can restart your computer or use VirtualBox or VMware Workstation to test, boot it from the WinPE & Setup menu. Good luck!

  1. hello guys! perfect work but i had a question. how can i create my own iso like yours with my own programs and drivers? thank u for ur time 🙂

  2. By following the instructions in this page, I got the same error message: “Error please contact the author for support”. But however, I did find a walkaround to solve this problem. Copy the file “boot.wim” from the Hiren BootCD PE iso, located under the folder “\sources\boot.wim”, paste it to your USB pendrive in any folder, for example: “\HirenBootCDPE\boot.wim”. Then, after booting into the pendrive’s AIO main menu,

    1. select the 7th entry which named “[6] Boot fromISO, WIM & VHD”
    2. select your pendrive drive (which is usually the 1st entry), something like “[0] hd0, msdos1 – …..
    3. browse to the folder that you saved the Hiren’s “boot.wim”, which in this example, it will be
    [#] HirenBootCDPE…
    [#] boot.wim

There you go, the Hiren PE will boot up successfully

    1. There isn’t enough memory available to create a ramdisk device

  3. hi. My Hirensbootcd PE Win 10. the volume sound drivers are not installed when boot on desktop. How to have audio sounds in Hirensbootcd PE Win 10?

  4. Hiran’s Win10 PE boot on thumb totally rocks, great collection of utilities too.
    BUT,
The win10- file manager (explorer) does not see my hard drive, so cannot perform any repairs on it from the Hiran boot usb tool.
Any ideas why my HD won’t show up??

    1. Hy.You might find a wy out of that but you might need to take a look at the windows built in partion manager hartd drive handler or something like that.Just a tipp.

  5. I trying to integrate Hiren’s BootCD PE x64 (v1.0.1) but i got the following error: “Error please contact the author for support.”

    1. Hi, this happend to me just few minutes ago. Please make sure, that you have active internet connection, without firewall blocking this app. It checking some thing before first extraction and may want to download some additional tools. On second computer it worked nomrally, so I realized, that first computer was offline.

  6. Has anyone built this with Firmware upgrade software? I only use Linux on my personal equipment and need a way to upgrade Firmware. I asked in the Bios-mods.com forum and so far no reply.

  7. I get an unable to boot, boot/bcd error when trying to boot the PE version of hiren’s, but not the older 15.2 can anyone advise on a fix?
More info: the drive is a YUMI linux drive currently featuring both versions of hiren’s (the older was added after discovering PE wouldn’t run), GParted, Clonezilla, Bitdefender Rescue CD, mint linux, Ubuntu, and a Windows 10 installation
Have currently tried booting on 2 systems a laptop featuring a 4th generation i5 that has a seemingly older style bios, and a Ryzen 5 with the seemingly newer UEFI style (my apologies I’m not totally familiar with what makes them different on a base level, only knowing by the interface) but neither functioned with Hiren’s PE both did with classic Hiren’s.
    Wat do?

  9. This tool doesn’t seem to be working properly. I added it as explained here and the ini file was in the root too automatically. It boots up but the apps are not working. I click on them and nothing happens. I hope a solution will come up for this product because it is a great one to have on your multiboot.

  10. Hi, I downloaded Hiren’s Bootcd PE windows 10 and I want to know that, is it possible to reset forgotten password with it? Thanks.

    1. You can do this with the cmd tool. Its the utilman.exe swap. So run the Comamnd Line in Hirens BootCD, then type:

      cd windows\system32
      ren utilman.exe utilman.exe.bak
      copy cmd.exe utilman.exe

Now reboot. When at the windows login screen. Click the Ease Of Access Icon in the bottom corner (Left on Win 7, Right on Win 8+). This will open an admin lvl command prompt.
To reset an existing user password:

      net user username password

To create a new user and add to admin group:

      net user username password /add
      net localgroup Administrators username /add

    1. Hahaha.. That’s hilarious. Instead of saying win DOWS he says the the shit word. So it means shit wins. It’s funny because in my Country it’s true. Shit always wins.

  11. I’m not using Windows 10 as my working computer, don’t know if I ever will but, I am still using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit (transitioning to 64bit) and eventually all Linux while keeping at least one old system with Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and/or 64bit for older still useful software. I have a hard drive with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit that I’m currently trying to rescue. Is Hiren’s BootCD PE compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and 64bit installations?

    1. Send me the file /AIO/Tools/error.log, I will check it. Now try to open the ISO file, select the sources\boot.wim file to integrate instead of ISO, then let me know the result.

      1. 6/24/2018 11:18:29 AM – 1118 – Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (Version 6.1, Build 7601, 32-bit Edition)
        —————–
when try to open the ISO file, select the sources\boot.wim file to integrate instead of ISO, its done, no error.

          1. I just added the latest Hiren’s PE to Easy2boot and would like to know how to add other antivirus and malware detection software to it.
